This week the Beast visits with Shilo McCabe. Shilo is an artist and activist in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her projects include “I masturbate…”, have been shown in a variety of shows, galleries, kink and LGBQTI exhibits.

Why we need to talk about masturbation. We get down and dirty about our (self) love lives. Who’s talking about self-pleasure and how? What are the best ways to explore the solo pleasures of your body? To answer all these questions and more, we chat to sexologist, sexuality researcher and educator Dr Catriona Boffard, sex-positive feminist photographer Shilo McCabe and medical doctor and sex educator Dr Tlaleng Mofokeng.
